SubLift Offshore Lifting Clamp

SubLift Clamp

A bolt-free, dual-safety-lock offshore lifting clamp engineered for BHA operations.

The Voltaro SubLift Clamp is a high-performance offshore lifting clamp solution designed specifically for the handling of lifting subs during Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) operations. It replaces the improvised, incident-prone methods of wrapping slings and rigging shackles with a single, purpose-built tool.

The Voltaro SubLift Clamp is a high-performance offshore lifting solution designed specifically for the handling of lifting subs during Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) operations. It replaces the improvised, incident-prone methods of wrapping slings and rigging shackles with a single, purpose-built tool.

Manufactured in 316L Stainless Steel with an anti-corrosion surface coating, the SubLift Clamp is built to perform through years of offshore service in salt spray and H₂S-rich environments with minimal maintenance.

1- Direct OD Clamping

Clamps on the sub’s outer diameter — not the threads. Eliminates abrasion damage and provides a fixed grip geometry in vertical or horizontal orientation.

2- Zero Loose Components

The bolt-free quick-lock design has no pins, shackles, or fasteners to manage. Dropped-object risk from lifting hardware is removed entirely.

3- Single-Operator Installation

Installs and releases in under 60 seconds by a single crew member. No additional rigging, no secondary personnel, no delay to BHA operations.

4- Offshore-Grade Construction

316L stainless steel with anti-corrosion coating. Engineered for marine environments — salt spray, H₂S exposure, and the thermal cycling of offshore service.

Engineered to Spec.

SubLift Clamp vs. Slings & Shackles

Product Comparison

The market has evolved from Rectangular Block Magnet to modern Neodymium rod systems. Swarfclean™ goes a step further — higher Gauss, higher temperature rating, and the only system with integrated swarf data logging as standard.

Every Feature. A Safety Decision.

Key Features

Dual Safety Hook Locking

Two independent safety hooks must both be deliberately disengaged to open the clamp. The tool cannot release accidentally under dynamic offshore load conditions.

No bolts, no pins, no split rings. The quick-lock mechanism installs and releases without any tools or loose hardware — the single greatest dropped-object reduction on the drill floor.

Sub-Minute Installation

From stowed to load-ready in under 60 seconds, vertical or horizontal. Replaces 5–15 minutes of sling rigging per lift, compounding to hours of saved time across a campaign.

316L Stainless Steel

Marine-grade material selection — corrosion-resistant, high-strength, and rated for offshore environments. Anti-corrosion surface coating extends service life further.

OD Grip — Thread-Safe

Grips the sub’s outer diameter only — no contact with threaded sections. Eliminates the thread abrasion damage caused by sling wrapping, protecting your BHA inventory.

Horizontal Handling — By Design

Horizontal lifting sub removal is the highest-risk BHA task with traditional methods. The SubLift Clamp provides positive grip control in the horizontal plane — engineered in, not improvised.

Customizable Load Capacity

Standard SWL of 1 Ton covers the majority of BHA applications. Custom load ratings are engineered in-house for heavy BHA configurations — contact us with your requirements.

Minimal Maintenance

No consumable components, no slings to inspect and recertify between runs, no fasteners to replace. Periodic inspection of locking hooks and surfaces is all that is required.
